He absolutely adores people he is an energetic sweet, fun lovin good-natured little boy, with a funny personality. He's also a dog that picks up and takes to training very easily, and would be great in agility as he loves to play!! He absolutely loves people and even though he's active, he loves to snuggle up to you and be loved. He's not selective about other dogs, he gets along with all dogs! Cluckie has been around cats that we know of and very good with cats. He's spayed and up to date on his shots. There is an adoption fee, adoption application, home check and reference check.

Formosan Mountain7 viewsHayley was rescued in Taiwan. She is a graceful, slender, tall spayed female Formosan Mountain dog, approx 30 pounds, between 1 and 2 years old, with all shots. She is a beautiful golden yellow color, with a close coat, upright ears and a long, elegant nose, deep brown eyes rimmed with dark mascara, and a long, whippy tail often carried curved over her back. She looks like an ancient dog-goddess!
Hayley’s a sweetheart. She's very playful both by herself and with other dogs. She knows her name and comes to it. She does well on lead, and in meeting other dogs at Fort Funston where she goes for walks. She is working on housetraining, and is reliably crate-trained. Like other Formosan Mt dogs, she bonds very closely with one or two primary humans, and, as her love horizons expand, will continue to bond until she includes other family members. She is a bit shy when meeting stranger-people initially, but soon relaxes, and she is curious about people she has never met before. She does not pay any attention to cats.
Hayley entered the USA on September 1, after having been rescued as a youngster with her sister. When they were rescued, they either had been abandoned by their mother or otherwise lost her, they were both starving, and their rescuer believes they in desperation had eaten something that was poisonous to them. Her sister, unfortunately, could not be saved, although their rescuer did her best, so Hayley came to the US with a combination name, part hers and part her sister’s. Her name on arrival became Harmony, but her new foster family shortened it to Hayley. She is a loving, quiet natured dog, who will probably not become a watchdog, as she is not very bark-y
Hayley will do well in a home with quiet-natured older children, and would do fine as an only dog or as a companion to another dog, whether her size, smaller or larger. She would be fine in a one or 2 person household, as well, and will need exercise on a lead or in a yard.

Pomeranian222 viewsIf you are considering adopting a dog, please first consider: Bobby is a very sweet little guy! He looks a bit rough in his photos because he is. We just got him, and feel that he's probably never really been groomed, handled much, or taken very good care of. Sadly, he's 7 1/2 years old, and his teeth are in terrible shape. He goes to see the doggie dentist 10/23, and we believe that he'll lose several teeth. He will be happier once they are gone, however. He looks and acts like he's never been groomed, so we're going to shave him and get all his mats off, and get him a bath too!
Bobby was scared of the other doggies at our adoption fair at first, but we think he'll warm up fast. He was good with everyone he met, and was a happy little guy. He's got a great spirit, and once he gets to feeling better physically, should be a great little addition to a mellow family. Bobby is neutered, and will be current on his vaccinations soon. He's never been housetrained, so we will be working on it in foster care!

Husky184 viewsTimber is a great 8 year old Husky. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and microchipped. He is great with other dogs, children, and even cats. He lived in a home with a large cat, and even a hedgehog! He is looking for a new home due to family circumstances, not due to anything this great guy has done. He does not dig much (he likes a little hole to lay in), does not chew (see notes below), and is completely housetrained. He even knows how to go in and out a doggie door. He’s a mellow boy for the most part, but does like to run and play. Although he’s older, he’s in great shape! His hips are in good shape, and he’s got nice muscle. His teeth are a bit worn, but the vet says that they are in good condition. Timber would love to have a permanent home for the rest of his life, and it can be several great years! He does get scared of thunder storms, so should be in the house then. He’s not an outside only dog, so needs a family who wants a new family member. Since he's older, and less rambunctious, he'd be fine with a less active family or person.

Meet Harley! Harley is a young, active, playful fella who was rescued from a kill-shelter as a pup. Unfortunately for Harley, he has outgrown his family and now finds himself looking for a place to hang his hat again! Harley is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, hw negative and socialized with other nice dogs and small children. He would probably do best in a family that can spend a lot of one on one time with him. He would love nothing better than to be a jogging partner, agility dog, etc. He is so full of love and can you believe that beautiful face? Want to meet Harley?

Meet Kale... he's not aggressive with other dogs, he just has absolutely no interest in other dogs. A couple of my dogs have tried to initiate play with him, but he seems to have no idea what to do in response. Kale is a dear, sweet, happy little guy. For a terrier he is very calm, quiet and undemanding.

Ralph Macchio58 viewsRalph is our little Karate Kid. He fought hard to hang on past his allotted time at a nearby shelter with his Kung-Fu moves and winning smile; and then won over the hearts of Paws 'N Purrs volunteers when he attended what was to be his "last-chance" adoption event. One look at that sweet face, and then a second, and then...well...we decided to bring him into our program and do our best to help find him that forever home that he deserves. Ralph appears to have some Schnauzer, Poodle, and maybe a touch of Lab in him. A Labraschnoodle? :) He is very playful and loves attention. Ralph does have an undercoat, but appears to have minimal shedding. He is a medium-size dog, weighing only around 40-45 lbs. Ralph is about 2 years old, up-to-date on vaccines, and will be neutered before adoption. He is currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats where he can work on his house manners and perfect his potty-training skills. Don't let that shaggy exterior fool you.
